The Linda Lindas

THE LINDA LINDAS

Few bands have in such a short time had as much impact and as much media attention as The Linda Lindas. The four teenage girls from Los Angeles (one of whom is actually only 11 years old) took matters into their own hands in true punk fashion, playing the all-ages punk matinee concerts held there regularly and also self-released an EP. What made them famous overnight, however, was their performance of their own song Racist, Sexist Boy at the Los Angeles Public Library in 2021. Suddenly, they gave voice to an entire generation of young people who felt left out because they didn't fit in " the white American stereotype”.

When it was now clear that there was a genuine interest in The Linda Lindas and their music, they signed a record deal with long-established punk label Epitaph and began recording the album Growing Up. The album was produced by Carlos de la Garza, who, among other things, has Bad Religion, Paramore and Bleached on his track record.
