The Soundtrack of Our Lives was formed with the vision of bringing all the rock musical touches of the 1970s into the present.

The group succeeded in this to such an extent that the Gothenburg band became the main name at the biggest festivals, had chart-topping albums that are considered modern classics, received three Grammys and, at the beginning of the 2000s, a minor breakthrough in both Europe and the USA. There wasn't a band in the Britpop wave that didn't mention the Swedes with the greatest respect.

The Soundtrack of Our Lives were so adept at managing their roots that the result was a completely unique form of crescendo-building rock – the group name was fulfilled with flying colours.

But the background to the selection by Ebbot Lundberg and his rock company does not stop at their somewhat improbable ability to merge stadium rock, psychedelic pop and indie rock. During the years 1995-2012, they also became a bridge that joined an entire scene in Gothenburg for three decades.

The group had roots in the band Union Carbide Production, the explosive band that in the shift between the 1980s and 90s became inspirations for many others from the port city. Three members from there later started The Soundtrack of Our Lives.

After The Soundtrack of Our Lives was shut down, a number of members have shown on their own what creativity was contained within the band. Not least Ebbot Lundberg himself, but group members such as Martin Hederos and Mattias Bärjed also constantly appear in different contexts and have also taken the legacy on, each serving unique musical expressions drawn from all imaginable genres.
