Whitesnake

Whitesnake is a British hard rock band formed in 1977 in London. The initiator of the group was former Deep Purple singer David Coverdale. The band's material has been compared by critics to Deep Purple, and during one and the same period there were three former members of Deep Purple in the group. The group had its heyday in the 1980s and were initially most popular in Europe and Japan. However, the 1987 album was a huge success globally and the group then also became big in the US. Many famous guitarists have played in Whitesnake, including Steve Vai, John Sykes, Vivian Campbell and Doug Aldrich. Whitesnake has sold over 100 million records.
